Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Three to five years of experience in fundraising or closely related/comparable field.

  • Defined success in sales, philanthropic fundraising and project management.

  • Available to manage 50% travel, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, when needed
License/Certification Required Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Assistant Athletics Director for Development include fundraising and philanthropic efforts to include:

  • Reach defined fundraising goals in dollars and members as set by senior-level administration.

  • Solicitation of constituents for major gifts and benefit fulfillment to active donors and prospects.

  • Work off assigned prospect list to evaluate, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors.

  • Use data and prospecting tools to find new constituents interested in Appalachian State Athletics.

  • Add Value to overarching athletic development unit to successfully reach and grow financial and membership goals on annual basis.

  • Game day responsibilities and coordination.

  • Donor/Prospect management reports.

  • Athletic Development strategic planning support.

  • Cultivate leadership donors/prospects and solicit their support.

  • Work with head coaches to ensure annual fundraising initiatives are successful
