Post-doctoral Fellow/Assistant Research Officer (PDF/ARO) (several posts) in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (Ref.: 504111) (to commence as soon as possible for one to two year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in public health, community child health or related disciplines with proven knowledge of both biological and social science and substantial experience in statistical analysis and biological sample handling. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online survey tools, and good problem-solving, communication, organizational and administrative skills. They should also be self-motivated, highly committed, and able to work well both independently and in groups. The appointees will participate in laboratory and cohort studies. They will assist in managing research projects; prepare scientific publications, grant proposals and reports; perform data analysis; provide general administrative and operational support; liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders; and perform other duties as assigned. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as ARO.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment of ARO on a two-year fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
