Salary Basis: 12 month

Responsibilities:
1) Perform secretarial functions including composing and typing letters; reviewing and maintaining student files, and maintaining critical accreditation documents.
2) Serve as the department's receptionist; greeting incoming visitors, current students, and prospective students and alumni; answering the telephone; and being the “face” and “voice” of the department.
3) Process and maintain personnel data such as leave and overtime reports, employee action forms, and supervising student workers.
4) Request, maintain, and process all purchase orders and requisitions including faculty travel, reimbursement and development requests.
5) Request reservations and facilities as needed.
6) Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment and ensure equipment is in good working order.
7) Request desk copies and instructional resources for faculty.
8) Provide accounting assistance in helping prepare and complete the budget, documenting expenses and revenues, recording monthly accounts, and providing receipts for all.
9) Maintain the security of the department (i.e. locking doors, keeping confidential files secured) classrooms, EASE Center, faculty offices, and any other storage resources used by faculty and students.
10) Support all departmental activities and student organizations through engagement at monthly meetings, special projects, and events.
11) Coordinate with planning committees to assist with department-sponsored events through administrative support in planning, registration, email correspondence, on-site management, and documentation of all continuing education events provided.
12) Maintain proper storage of all documentation relevant to accreditation; compile files and reports as needed; assist with lodging and travel for site visitors representing the Council on Social Work Education.
13) Assist with student documentation; referring licensure documents to the appropriate recipient, maintaining files of field education documents such as background checks and liability insurance.
14) Communicate regularly and respectfully with all faculty and serves as an administrative support to the Chair.
15) Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
This position must have at least a high school diploma or GED. Must have a valid driver’s license. A college degree and secretarial experience with use of Banner, Word, Excel, and Publisher are preferred.

Salary:
12 monthCommensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
