Title: Assistant Director of Admissions

Position Summary: The position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Office of Admissions and oversee, coordinate and implement the College's recruitment efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform overall supervision and management of full-time and part-time staff to include hiring, training and evaluating staff on main campus and other locations as appropriate, or as assigned by the Director.

Oversee, manage, and maintain all aspects of the College's international student (F1/M1) program including, but not limited to, serving as the primary college contact, assisting in the completion of the applicant's admission file, issuing 1-20 forms for Immigration Services, and reporting international student enrollment to Immigration Services through the Student and Exchange Information System (SEVIS) at all campus locations.

Supervise day-to-day operations of the Office of Admissions.

Supervise student recruitment initiatives.

Determine, recommend, and enforce residency classification and reclassification, to include EVEA, for tuition purposes.

Manage and maintain recruiting & admission-related technological resources, including but not limited to, the recruit & admission portions of Ellucian Banner.

Manage and maintain the online information request portal and the online application for admission.

Manage and maintain website content related to the Office of Admissions and Tennessee Promise.

Manage and maintain the calendars for campus tours and campus events related to the Office of Admissions.

Assist with the development and enforcement of College admission policy.

Assist with the development and interpretation of internal reports related to the Office of Admissions.

Assist prospective students, both in person, and at a distance, in the decision-making, application, and enrollment process.

Respond to inquiries from prospective students using, but not limited to, telephone, email, and social media/online chat.

Assist with the development of the Office of Admissions Institutional Effectiveness Plan.

Assist with budget planning for the Office of Admissions.

Manage the selection, training, and supervision of the President's Ambassadors.

Facilitate individual, family, and group campus tours.

Act as the Director in his/her absence.

Represent, in a positive manner, Volunteer State Community College, the Division of Student Services, and the Office of Admissions with all internal and external constituents.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree. Minimum of 4 years experience in admissions, student recruitment, advising, student records, or other related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics: Strong computer skills, including knowledge and uses of integrated student database systems. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Pay Rate: 44,090.00 - 55,120.00 annual salary depending on experience
