Be yourself and start your career here. Help us build a better Brockport! Job Summary: SUNY Brockport, State University of New York is accepting applications for the Senior Counselor position. The Senior Counselor plays a very important and intricate part of the Educational Opportunity Program operation. The Senior Counselor is responsible for providing support services to an assigned group of students in the areas of academic, financial, personal, social, and career development. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree by time of appointment from a college or
university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an
internationally recognized college or university.
- Demonstrated experience in assessment of student learning
outcomes.
- Ability to work with a culturally and ethnically diverse
population.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in counseling, educational administration or a
related field by time of appointment from a college or university
accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an
internationally recognized college or university.
- Significant experience in college counseling to include
academic advisement, career, or financial aid
counseling.
- Experience with SCT Banner, Angel and/or other student
management software.
