The salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities
Supervise and instruct residents on the following:
  1. Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.
  2. Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment.
  3. Prescribe medication in accordance with Colorado statute and professional practice guidelines.
  4. Arrange referral for patients requiring services not offered at Rocky Vista Health Center.
  5. Review incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, EKG) sign, date and follow-up in a timely manner.
  6. Comply with the Rocky Vista Health Center Infection Control plan which includes personally utilizing universal precautions. Ensure compliance by support staff.
Other clinic duties:

  • Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.
  • Assist in outside medical public relations functions.
  • Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings.
  • Participate in night and weekend call schedule coverage by phone.
  • Medical Student Education:

  • Instruct medical students while providing mentorship and motivation for learning in the clinical setting.
  • Professionalism:

  • Demonstrate the highest standard of professionalism and ethical behavior in all aspects of personal and professional actions and performance
  • Demonstrate and roll model an ongoing ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors, and support staff.
