The School of Professional & Extended Studies (SPExS) invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach 3 credit online graduate courses in the MS in Healthcare Management program. This is a fully online program geared toward mid-career professionals. This program equips those in health care fields with a deeper knowledge of health care transformation and the application of information technology and data analysis in the health care industry. Graduates possess a unique skillset that is highly sought in health systems management organizations within the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. This degree incorporates healthcare management’s multi-disciplinary aspects of professional leadership, data analysis, and information technology.
Position responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating online discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Courses are asynchronous, fully online, and offered over 8 week terms. Adjunct faculty are expected to hold online office hours, provide assignment feedback, and consult with the Program Director on the progress of the class.

HCS 600: Standards & Systems in US Healthcare
HCS 610: Principles of Health Information Technology & Innovation
HCS 640: Evaluation of New Models of Care Delivery & Payment
HCS 700: Healthcare Management Capstone

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will hold a Masters, PhD or a terminal degree in an applicable field with at least 5 years of professional experience. Teaching experience at the college level is highly preferred though not required. Course assignments and schedules will depend on the selected candidate's profile and strengths.
