Additional Information
Ball State University’s Health and Promotion and Advocacy team seeks candidates for a Health and Wellness Coordinator. Health Promotion and Advocacy ( HPA ) provides inclusive health and well-being education, prevention, and survivor-centered support.
This position will contribute to HPA and Ball State University by coordinating health and wellbeing outreach and educational materials for the campus community; assessing campus health and wellbeing needs; evaluating services; and working collaboratively with campus and community stakeholders to meet the health and wellbeing needs of the students.

Position Function
Coordinate evidence/informed-based virtual and in-person health promotion programs, presentations, initiatives, and educational materials for constituencies throughout the university community; assess campus health and wellbeing needs; work collaboratively with campus and community stakeholders based on campus health and wellbeing needs and evaluate services.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education, Health Promotion, Public Health, or other human service related discipline from an accredited institution.
Minimum Experience
Demonstrated commitment to health and wellbeing; demonstrated skills in quality customer service; experience with Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Minimum Other
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Advanced degree in public health, health promotion, health education, or other related discipline from an accredited institution.
Preferred Experience
At least two years of experience in a university-based health services program, Student Affairs department, health center, or wellness institute; public speaking experience and skills; evidence of research and scholarly activity and ability.
Preferred Other
Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity; excellent interpersonal, intrapersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; excellent organizational, relationship, and analytical skills; ability to perform all job duties.
Health Education Specialist ( CHES ) or Certified in Public Health ( CPH ) designations (or be eligible and intend to become certified).

Peer health educators and undergraduate student employees/volunteers (as appropriate).
