Centre College invites applications for a one-year full-time position in Spanish at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Spanish beginning August 2021. The successful candidate will be committed to excellent liberal arts teaching and dedicated to teaching a range of undergraduate Spanish courses. Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, demonstrated teaching excellence; areas of specialization open. Special consideration will also be given to candidates who have successfully taught and mentored students from diverse backgrounds and identities, who create inclusive environments, and whose work explicitly engages issues of identity, diversity, and/or inclusivity. There will be a possibility to apply for an anticipated tenure-track position in the program.
