Visiting Faculty Position in Psychology

American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates invites applications for visiting faculty positions in psychology (starting August 2021). This is a one-year position covering two semesters (faculty teach three courses per semester) but applicants who prefer to visit for one semester only will be considered. As an American-accredited institution in the liberal arts tradition, AUS seeks candidates with a passion for teaching at the undergraduate level and the ability to reside in the UAE during the academic term.

Successful candidates will have a PhD in psychology or a closely-related field. As a university formed on the American model, with English as the language of instruction, AUS gives priority to candidates who have experience in American models of higher education. Applicants should be able to teach at least two of the needed psychology electives: Abnormal, Personality, Cognitive, Health, Organizational, Biopsychology, Creativity, Psychotherapy and Counseling, or Teaching and Learning.
