Director, Information Technology #605435

Oversees the information technology strategy for assigned department, developing and implementing the policies and goals for the IT department. Coordinates information systems managers to ensure efficient service. Directs lower level staff to correct programming errors and code application enhancements to resolve issues and provide quality information systems to end users.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

• Applies proficient ability in strategic planning, IT work design, project management, financial planning, and goal development.
• Defines work goals and standards.
• Evaluates individual and team performance on difficult work assignments to ensure quality IT service.
• Oversees current and future information technology programs and works with university management to implement innovative solutions to system issues.
• Typically supervises a team that includes multiple supervisors of supervisors and may oversee IT staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field and
• 3-5 years of management experience and
• 5-7 years of relevant experience, or
• A combination of related education, experience, and training.
