Be yourself and start your career here. Help us build a better Brockport! Job Summary: SUNY Brockport, State University of New York is accepting applications for an Accessibility Program Assistant. The Accessibility Program Assistant will assist in the implementation of legally mandated accommodations, auxiliary aids, and support services for students with disabilities under ADA/504 legal mandates*. The Program Assistant works collaboratively with the Coordinator in conducting intakes, reviewing documentation, determining reasonable accommodations, and implementing all related programming to ensure equal access for students.

  • Bachelor's degree by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment with a variety of constituents.
  • Strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with overseeing schedules.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • One year experience with assistive technologies (i.e. screen readers, books in alternate format).
  • Knowledge of ADA/504.
    Work Schedule: M-F: 8am-4pm Salary,Benefits, and Appointment: $39,000 May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport. This is an 11-month position.
