Shepherd University seeks a Director of Marketing and Digital Strategy to join our team. Shepherd University is located in scenic, historic Shepherdstown, West Virginia, about 90 minutes driving distance from both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, and within driving distance of the Appalachian Trail, the Northern Virginia tech corridor, and the Maryland I-270 tech corridor.
Job Summary:
Incumbent will be responsible for the university web site, the
university's primary digital marketing and crisis communications
platform, including content and technical aspects
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
- Five years of increasing responsibility in marketing, preferably in higher education
- Experience in program marketing, market research, audience segmentation, and brand strategy
- Experience in tracking, analyzing, and communicating data to inform and influence decisions
- Strong creative and critical thinking skills
- Experience using and managing a website using WordPress or other content management system
- Experience using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience overseeing the design and production of high-quality print and digital publications/advertising
