Job Description

The Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering are looking for a person to organize and teach the practical aspects of undergraduate electrical and computer engineering, primarily at the sophomore and junior levels. Prior courses have included ECE 2804 Integrated Design Project ECE 2024 Circuits and Devices and ECE 2054 Applied Electrical. The successful candidate must enjoy interacting with students, and have good organizational and management skills. Responsibilities will include developing new experiments and projects to incorporate into courses, teaching undergraduate courses, training and supervising up to five Teaching Assistants and Undergraduate Mentors, acting as a subject matter expert for student projects, and purchasing lab equipment and supplies. The position will involve other duties, as assigned, but will not involve a research component.

Required Qualifications

M.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Two years of experience, beyond an undergraduate degree designing, building, testing, and integrating analog and digital (FPGA, microcontroller) circuits
Evidence of a strong desire to teach students the practical aspects of electrical and computer engineering, which must be addressed in the cover letter.
Two years of practical experience, beyond an undergraduate degree, with either power electronics and/or power systems and the ability to supervise and enhance a joint power electronics/power systems laboratory.
Conviction Check.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing others or leading a team
One year of full-time laboratory development and teaching experience as a lead instructor.
Able to move and set up lab equipment and furniture if required
