We are searching for an experiencedAssistant Director Technology Support.

Job Purpose:
Oversee all aspects of Technology Support within the District through the Campus Technology Managers who are responsible for all technology at the assign campus including the continued operation of the campus conference centers, meeting rooms, classrooms, labs, offices, as well as off-site venues. Plan, implement and maintain audio-visual equipment across the district. Coordinate and implement technology projects due to district growth, updated functional requirements and replacement of outdated technology. Work collaboratively with the Help Desk Manager and other Technology Support Leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Campus Technology Managers in all aspects of technology support.
  • Maintain regular contact with faculty and staff to monitor level of service provided. Identify and ensure the accuracy of steps taken in dealing with work-flow issues.
  • Implements and manages staff, faculty, and student support and technology services support models that address and bring resolution to the technical needs of the college.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff and the Campus Technology Managers to ensure proper technology equipment, software, and processes are utilized throughout the district. Act as liaison with all areas of the College (Executive Leadership, Provosts, Deans, Associate Deans, Directors) in the management and support of technology.
  • Maintain accurate records on software, hardware, equipment utilization and problems.
  • Monitor emerging technologies, develop specifications and make recommendations for necessary acquisitions of new equipment.
  • Integrate new technologies into existing structures of classrooms, offices and conference centers.
  • Maintain familiarity with and ensure compliance with district policies and procedures to ensure copyright laws are not violated.
  • Assist with preparation of the annual budget for assigned area of responsibility. Monitor expenditures and ensure compliance with District fiscal policies.
  • Serve as back up to the Director of Technology Support as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Master’s degree preferred.

Five (5) years of related work experience with managing a help desk, educational technology, or information technology.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.

Compensation Range: $69,644.00 - 80,091.00
