The University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) invites applications for open faculty position: Lecturer with Field Coordinator responsibilities. The position will have teaching responsibilities in the MSW Program, but candidate should be prepared to teach across the BSW/MSW programs and across the curriculum. Within the CHHS, the School of Social Work is ranked among the top 20 percent in the nation by US News & World Report. The open lecturer position is full-time, 9-month appointment, with an anticipated start date of August 2021. Lecturer with Field Coordinator responsibilities will have teaching responsibilities across all areas of BSW/MSW curricula (primarily in MSW courses), as well as student advising responsibilities. Further, the position includes Field Placement Coordinator responsibilities, and they will also serve in the Office of Field Education. All faculty members provide service to the University, College, School, community, and profession.

Qualifications:
Required for Lecturer with Field Coordinator Responsibilities position: Candidates must possess a master’s degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program and have at least three years post-master’s practice experience. Candidates must possess teaching experience and demonstrated excellence in instruction of social work courses (BSW and/or MSW or doctoral), and must have online (distance education) teaching experience in any field in higher education (taught at least one online course). Candidates must demonstrate ability to contribute to diversity/equity/inclusion -related initiatives as articulated in the School of Social Work’s mission and vision. Candidates must possess at least one year of experience working in social work field education (i.e. teaching field courses, placing students in internship sites, securing and maintaining placement sites, field education administration, managing field placement data). 

Preferred: An LCSW in NC (or eligibility with comity to another state) is preferred. Doctorate in social work or related field is preferred.
