Minimum Requirements:
High School Degree required. Associate's degree or higher preferred, depending on area of expertise.
Certified law enforcement or relevant licenses/certificates as required for area of instruction.
Must have a minimum of five years professional experience in the subject area of expertise

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Degree required. Associate's degree or higher preferred, depending on area of expertise.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a minimum of five years subject area expertise. Excellent oral and written communication skills and teaching experience required. Actively working within a criminal justice related field or retired for not more than five years. Must have experience in one or more of the following areas of instruction:
  • Community policing concepts
  • Human trafficking investigations
  • Law enforcement suicide prevention
  • De-escalation techniques
  • Critical Incident Peer Support
  • Mortgage fraud
  • Weapons of Mass Destruction


Candidate should be able to teach from a variety of existing courses, levels and diversity of community policing issues. Instruct students from agencies, communities and military in the many facets of community involvement in drugs, human trafficking,or other societal issues.

Classes are presented in a traditional classroom environment and/or on-line to students living inside and outside of Pinellas County, which may require travel.

Requirements::
Education:

Associate's degree required, prefer Bachelor, Masters, Doctorate degree.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of five years professional experience in the subject area of expertise.
