The College of Health Sciences professional programs (Athletic Training, Krannert School of Physical Therapy and School of Occupational Therapy) at the University of Indianapolis are seeking applications for an Administrative Assistant to serve to support experiential education faculty across programs. This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, non-exempt position.

The position will require managing of data and information with a database and experiential learning management system (CORE) and communicating effectively with students, faculty and community partners across multiple modes of communication. Coordination across programs will require development and implementation of efficient and effective workflow processes.

  • Plan and coordinate events and projects
  • Maintain student confidentiality consistent with FERPA
  • Create and manage department records and reports, including those necessary for program evaluation and accreditation
  • Provide instructional and administrative support for experiential learning faculty
  • Attend meetings and take minutes
  • Assist visitors and respond to inquiries via telephone and email with individuals outside and inside the university
  • Prioritize and manage multiple priorities/projects/tasks
  • Other duties, including special projects, may be assigned
  • Work weekend or evening hours on rare occasion when required


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google based programs, and database programs required
  • Experience with learning management systems preferred, with learning to use new systems, and adapting to technology needs required
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
