Position Summary:

The Office Operations Associate will contribute to the Marathon County Extension Team and provide direct support to the various educational programs delivered and executed from the office. Supports provided will include but is not limited to: budget and financial management support, written communication editing and dissemination, arranging meeting logistics, database management and customer service and support.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Ability to work in a fast paced, team-work environment maintaining friendly focus on customer service while achieving expected outcomes i.e. quality and productivity.
2. Knowledge of and ability to follow general office procedures and standard recordkeeping procedures.
3. Experience using various computer applications. Ability to quickly learn new software applications. Basic knowledge of computer functions and operations.
4. Ability to learn multiple step administrative procedures.
5. Demonstrated skills in building and maintaining professional work environments

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Ability to follow established procedures in an orderly and logical manner and stick to prescribed routines without frequent supervision or specific assignment.
2. Knowledge and skills to effectively interact with people from different cultural backgrounds, including those associated with race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socioeconomic status, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and other aspects of human diversity
3. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
4. Ability to work independently and identify areas for greater efficiencies within the Office

Additional Information:

POSITION CLARIFICATION:
This position is subject to UW System, UW-Madison and Division of Extension policies. This position description is not intended to be comprehensive in nature given the changes in primary duties/essential job functions and position expectations that can occur over time in response to emerging and organizational needs. Changes to this position description are subject to the approval of the Division of Extension Human Resource Development Office and those to whom the position is accountable.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This office environment includes a dedicated workspace, computer, filing and copying resources. This workstation includes phone and voice mail service as well as wired internet. This appointment is scheduled to work Monday- Friday 8:00am - 4:30PM. This position may have prolonged periods of sitting and the need to work offsite, on location, at times.

ACCOUNTABILITY RELATIONSHIPS:
The primary accountability relationship for this position is with the Area Extension Director for Marathon County.

POSITION BENEFITS AND SALARY:
State of Wisconsin benefits including retirement, vacation, sick leave, health insurance, and other insurances.
Salary range: $14.25 - $21.803 hourly commensurate with qualifications.

A criminal background check will be conducted prior to employment. Completed consent forms will be requested at the time of final interviews. In compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, convictions and pending charges will be considered only as they relate to this position.
