The University of North Carolina at Pembroke School of Education seeks to fill an academic position as Clinical Assistant Professor in the School Administration program in the Department of Educational Leadership & Specialties beginning August 2021.

The successful candidate will teach graduate-level educational leadership courses with opportunities to advise students, supervise interns, engage in service activities, professional development, and scholarly activity.

Candidates should provide evidence of commitment to equity and diversity in public schooling, experience in collaboration with faculty and school partners, and expertise in technology integration in the classroom. Strong consideration will be afforded to candidates with a demonstrated record of teaching experience at the elementary, secondary or collegiate level, including online teaching with an ability to successfully structure and implement a distance-education based course.

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:  

The candidate must have a minimum of an earned doctorate in Educational Leadership/ School Administration
School executive leadership and/or administrative experience with a record of service to the public schools.

A current or eligibility for a North Carolina Teaching License in School Administration – Principal and School Superintendent as well as one or more of the licensure areas approved at UNCP with a minimum of three years successful teaching experience at the level is required. Experience with graduate-level teaching.
