Job Summary

Responsible for the overall management of the TCC fleet and ensures operational use of the Fuel Management System ( FMS ). Provides technical support and trainings to ensure efficient and effective use of the FMS . Reports to Assistant Director of Facilities Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops, oversees, coordinates, implements, and completes special projects within Facilities Operations
• Performs tasks in relating to fleet management, vehicular equipment management, and fuel management
• Responsible for vehicle inspections and registration renewals
• Manages and maintains vehicle data, driver’s data, and vehicle Preventative Maintenance (PM) inspection data
• Assigns vehicle or equipment identification # and configures PM schedule to newly purchased vehicle and equipment
• Coordinates version upgrade for the FMS and troubleshoots system issues
• Provides technical support in programming and troubleshooting vehicle fueling device.
• Prepares monthly fueling and vehicle reports for analysis to help determine the rotation schedule or replacement of the vehicle
• Coordinates purchasing, ordering, replacing, and out processing including disposing, auctioning, and trade-ins of vehicle with Inventory Control
• Communicates updated vehicle list for insurance and distributes vehicle insurance cards with Safety and Emergency Management
• Prepares requisitions for system and vehicle related purchases following the process and procedures of the college
• Works closely with Campus Mechanics in coordinating vehicle inspection, recalls, and other vehicle maintenance/repair needs.
• Organizes fleet documentation and revises FMS standard operating procedures as necessary.
• Organizes and conducts fuel management system trainings for all TCC vehicle drivers
• Performs pick-up and delivery of vehicle and/or vehicular equipment
• Ensures proper and regular timely communications between TCCD departments and supervisors through verbal and written means concerning projects and operational issues
• Performs all other related duties as assigned
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Sixty (60) college credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional experience in facilities management, fleet management, or technical support or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
• Strong relational database knowledge
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System and/or Fuel Management System

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Ability to organize fleet documentation and maintain data integrity
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle or equipment
• Ability to use interpersonal skills, thinking, reasoning, and sound judgment to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience with computerized systems
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet
• Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
