Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Geography (Ref.: 503888), to commence as soon as possible for three years.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in geography or a relevant discipline, with a strong background in urban remote sensing. Knowledge and experience in large scale urban monitoring using multisource remote sensing data (e.g., optical and radar data) is highly desirable. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and a demonstrated record of publishing academic research papers.
The appointee will participate in a research programme on urban impervious surface monitoring using remote sensing technologies. He/She will oversee literature reviews, collect and analyse data, prepare manuscripts and reports, liaise with external parties, mentor junior research staff, and perform other research-related duties as assigned.
