About the Opportunity:
The First-year Engineering Learning and Innovation Center (FYELIC) is seeking an Operations and Tech Manager to oversee daily operations of its Makerspace.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the operation of the First-year Engineering Learning and Innovation Center (FYELIC), overseeing daily operations, the machines and equipment and working with staff, faculty and students that use the center. Also responsible for technical projects such as new equipment, equipment and tool maintenance and consulting on technical aspects for all faculty and student projects. Responsible for recommending technical solutions and purchasing parts, tools and machines to support the students, faculty and FYELIC.

Qualifications:
BS in related Engineering field, Master's degree preferred. Skill with mechanical and electrical systems and parts and experience with student projects, preferably with design, robotics, microcontrollers, mechanical and electrical designs to solve problems and programming for devices. Familiarity with best practices for 3-D Printing, laser cutting, benchtop CNC and general hand tool knowledge used to help facilitate student project fabrication.
