Appointment: Temporary, one year, part-time (0.75 FTE).

Position Summary: The Peer Tutor Coordinator supports student academic achievement at the University of Puget Sound by supervising the university's peer tutoring program; by engaging in outreach from the CWLT to the campus community and engaging in liaison work between the CWLT and other tutoring programs on campus; and by working with other staff members in the Center for Writing, Learning, and Teaching to assess and further develop our programming.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
    Support the CWLT Director in training and hiring of peer Subject Tutors and Writing Advisors. Coordinate the ongoing mentorship of peer tutors by facilitating Compass Check-ins, observations, and performance reviews. Support peer Subject Tutors and Writing Advisors in developing tutoring materials, including video tutorials. Coordinate with peer tutors to create the tutoring schedule each semester, with support from the Administrative Assistant. Approve student timecards and track students' earnings limit. Maintain the CWLT's online communications with peer tutors (such as Canvas, Google Suite, and Slack). Lead bimonthly student staff meetings and/or ongoing peer staff education in collaboration with the CWLT Director. Design and offer workshops for student groups on topics related to improving students' academic performance. Tutor students during peak times of demand in the CWLT. Serve as liaison to tutoring programs outside of the CWLT. Assist the Administrative Assistant with publicity and outreach efforts. Support with CWLT events, such as the holiday party, graduation party, and the Long Night Against Procrastination.

Supervisory Responsibilities
    Supervise CWLT peer Subject Tutors

Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree. At least 2 years' experience as a peer writing advisor or peer tutor in a writing or learning center. Ability to respectfully work, communicate and provide leadership within a diverse campus community.
