Scope of Job:
To perform assigned duties and provide responsible operational assistance and specialized skills to an assigned area within the department of intercollegiate athletics.


Description of Duties:
• Assists in the daily operations of the assigned area within the department of intercollegiate athletics.
• Provides coverage of practice and games, including travel, of assigned team/s and assists with conflict coverage.
• Works directly with student athletes to provide assistance within capacity of assignment.
• Communicates regularly with coaches and athletic administrative staff and other personnel.
• Assists with cleaning, repairing, inventory, and managing all equipment assigned.
• Assists in the planning, organizing and executing of various events, functions, projects and tasks as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.


Supervision Received:
Specific supervision from assigned supervisor.

Supervision Given:
Direct supervision of assigned support staff.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

Preferred Education:

Licenses/Certifications:
None.

Required Experience:
None.


Preferred Experience:
Experience working within an athletic department within the assigned capacity.


Equipment:
Use of standard office equipment.


Working Conditions:
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Office Environment; some travel and weekend work is required. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which requires presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Work is performed primarily in a general office environment across the Rio Grande Valley. Based on the assignment may be exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
