The University of Hartford's School of Communication located in West Hartford, Connecticut seeks an Applied Teaching Assistant Professor of Communication with expertise in journalism and media for a full-time position.

Candidates are required to have a Master's Degree in Communication or Journalism, plus twelve (12) months of professional working college level teaching experience as an Assistant Communication or Journalism Professor or Lecturer, and twelve (12) months as a Journalist.

Any Candidate will have collegiate-level teaching and professional work experience and be able to teach a variety of courses related to writing, reporting and editing across a range of delivery platforms.  The typical teaching load is 3 to 4 courses per semester.  Clinical/applied faculty are expected to engage in various types of professional productivity, and advise students on courses and their career development.
