The assistant strength and conditioning coach will assist with all strength and conditioning activities in the sport of football at Syracuse University. This position will work with the football team year round, during all off-season and in-season training programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (minimum) and one of the following certifications: SCCC, CSCS, or USAW .
Job Specific Qualifications
Minimum of one 8 years experience working in a football strength and conditioning setting, preferably at the collegiate level. 5 years experience leading strength training for collegiate teams.
Responsibilities
Lead creation and implementation of all facets of weight room instruction, including all conditioning activities.
Evaluate and implement program design for football lifting progressions and conditioning sessions.
Manage daily operation of weight room training facility including maintenance of equipment. Act as back up to Director of Athletic Performance.
Manage Strength & Conditioning intern staff.
Assist with any/all facets of Football practices and competitions as indicated by Head Football Coach.
