Doane University, a nationally recognized liberal arts and sciences university in Crete, Nebraska, invites applications for a full-time position as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics for the 2021-22 academic year with the possibility of renewal. . Ph.D. preferred in Physics, Applied Physics, or Engineering Physics. Candidates with demonstrated teaching experience and a strong experimental or electronics background are particularly encouraged to apply.  Anticipated responsibilities include teaching 3 courses each semester on the residential campus, including workshop physics courses and other physics or engineering courses based on departmental needs and the person’s qualifications.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in an active learning and teaching environment, value interdisciplinary studies, are committed to teaching a diverse population of students, include students with different perspectives, and are responsive to student needs.
