Position Summary:
Faculty members deliver instruction, carry out research, perform service for their respective professions and community, and participate in the management of the University through shared governance. Each member of the faculty has the duty to deliver instruction and maintain a learning environment consistent with the highest standards of the profession. The faculty has a responsibility to set degree requirements, assess when they are met, and establish and maintain curricula that meet professional standards and fulfill the educational goals of the University.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teaching load of the faculty is normally fifteen hours per semester
Faculty will also engage in service, including supporting First-Year Writing events such as the National Day on Writing and the Composition Colloquium, and participating in professional development workshops
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required or applicable to the position responsibilities and area of specialization including special abilities
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed

We are seeking a dynamic, qualified colleague who uses modern
composition methods and pedagogues in the classroom
Applicants must include a CV with a list of three references,
teaching evaluations, a sample assignment (can be
small/scaffolding, but ideally should be something unique to a
composition course they teach), and a 2-page single-spaced cover
letter contextualizing that assignment and articulating the
applicant’s teaching philosophy more generally.
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned Master's Degree appropriate for the discipline and professional experience appropriate to the discipline is required
