Perform behavioral work with rodents and study pain and dependence and pain by using in vivo models. Perform immunohistochemistry on tissue slices or molecular biology techniques on tissues. Compile results and report to supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Required Previous lab experience in a research lab setting (as student volunteer or employee) and work experience with rodents and lab animals in particular behavioral techniques. General lab skills (weighing, making solutions, etc.). Prior experience in administering drugs to rodent lab animals is preferred. Preferred: B.S. in Chemistry or Biology or equivalent. Preferred experience with models of pain. Skills in immunohistochemistry techniques is a plus. Willingness to learn biochemical and molecular biology techniques such as PCR and western blot. Good communication skills.
