The University of Houston College of Nursing is seeking outstanding
candidates to teach in the new post masters, Doctor of Nursing
Practice program. This Tenure-Track faculty position is for a Nurse
Administrator with a DNP or PhD who has exceptional leadership,
scholarship, excellence in teaching, and a clear commitment to
enhancing the diversity of the faculty graduate, and undergraduate
student populations. The anticipated start date for the qualified
applicant begins as early as August 2021 and will continue until
the position is filled.
Faculty responsibilities include: ongoing curriculum development
and evaluation; classroom and clinical instruction in the
undergraduate and graduate programs using on-site, simulation,
on-line, and distance education strategies; some travel;
participation in college and university committees; engaging in
scholarship, service and academic advising.
The College of Nursing is proud of its excellent Second-Degree BSN,
RN-BSN and MSN academic programs, innovative web-enhanced
education, simulation laboratory, and supportive student
environment for both face-to-face and distance learning. While the
primary teaching site is the University of Houston, the College of
Nursing has programming on the University of Houston at Sugar Land
and the University of Houston at Katy locations. Ability to teach a
variety of graduate and undergraduate specialty areas is a plus. We
