Student Services Assistant I - Transfer Credit

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
Responsible for the evaluation of all incoming transfer credits from regionally accredited institutions of higher education and credit for prior learning. Assists customers through phone calls, emails, and in-person consultations as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree plus two years of experience related to activities related to assistant duties.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Transfer Credit best practices.
  • Knowledge of content and curriculum.
  • Skills in word processing, spreadsheets and Database software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Banner.
  • Skills in filing and records management.
  • Ability to be highly detailed in work related issues.
  • Ability to work independently on a multi-task level.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow-through to completion.
  • Ability to work with a diversity of personalities.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of the department.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to a diverse group or individuals.


Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience working in a campus Registrar’s Office or similar environment.
-Experience using Banner by Ellucian (INB or Application Navigator).


Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform normal office duties. Consistently sitting as with an office environment. Use of fine-hand manipulation associated with the use of a computer.
