Coordinator, Business Operations



Summary

The Division of Cardiology is seeking an enthusiastic Coordinator, Business Operations to support the Advanced Heart Failure team and its Medical Director. This position provides administrative support to physicians and mid-level providers to ensure continuity of day-to-day operations. This position requires excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The ability to interact professionally and efficiently with both Faculty and Staff is vital to this role. Ideal candidate will possess collaborative personal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn and grow.

Job Duties
  • Arranges business meetings as assigned and maintains physician calendars.
  • Responsible for travel arrangements and processes reimbursements for physicians, mid-level providers and guests.
  • Maintains credentialing files for physicians and mid-level providers, ensuring licenses and memberships are up-to-date.
  • Coordinates with Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center's Medical Staff Services personnel with regards to credentialing.
  • Initiates and coordinates applications for faculty promotions and awards.
  • Sorts and distributes mail.
  • Orders supplies for physicians and mid-level providers.
  • Prepares and sends correspondence letters to referring providers, such as thank you letters and obtaining follow-up letters.
  • Prepares and processes purchase orders.
  • Assists the faculty with educational efforts for the Advanced Heart Failure fellowship program, including coordinating events and developing presentations.


Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior administrative support experience.
  • Some knowledge of clinical operations.
  • Administrative experience within a Cardiology practice is a plus.
