Job Description

The Director of Digital and Database Strategies will lead revenue generation efforts for Virginia Tech athletics marketing in three key areas - database growth, target marketing, and data analysis. This position works cross-functionally and reports to the Assistant AD of Digital Strategy & Ecosystem with a focus on strategies to drive data collection while leveraging digital marketing channels to deliver timely and relevant messaging to target audiences in order to drive conversions in ticket sales, fundraising, and other areas. This individual will also be tasked with evaluating the performance of digital campaigns to understand the effectiveness of targeted marketing efforts while identifying new opportunities and audiences through continuous data analysis.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in business administration or sports management or related field, with significant professional experience in a digital marketing role within a collegiate sports property, professional sports property, or agency AND/OR a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field with significant professional experience in a digital marketing role within a collegiate sports property, professional sports property, or agency setting.
