Job Purpose
Translational research lab is seeking a highly motivated and responsible research technician. Daily work includes receiving, registering and processing blood samples. Collected plasma and PBMC need to be cryopreserved for different tests. The technician will perform DNA extraction, QPCR, ELISPOT and immuno phenotyping for indicated samples. Good candidate should be meticulous and have good planning and communication skills.
Job Duties
- Isolation and cryopreservation of mononuclear cells from peripheral blood samples.
- Registration of samples in laboratory databases for storage and further testing.
- Provide requested samples to other lab members.
- Extract DNA and QPCR.
- ELISPOT and stain for flowcytometry.
- cell culture
- submission of data to PIs
- Mainten of lab equipment and supplies inventory.
- Document results and prepare for presentation.
- Participate in validations of new tests and applications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
