Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Management:
- Detailed oversight of multiple projects.
- This work includes ensuring completeness of data collection and adherence to study protocol; data collection, processing, and entry with other research staff.
- Maintain data integrity and security of data at all times.
- Lead communication with other staff in respect to data quality and missing data.
- Generate reports as needed.
- Perform data analyses in conjunction with Biostatisticians, trainees, and faculty.
Study Management:
- Maintain IRB compliance and update as required; adding investigators, submission of protocol amendments, deviations and events as needed.
- Hire, train and supervise research study staff in conjunction with the PI and Research Program Coordinator.
- Organizing Center meetings and programming, in connection with the administrative assistant.
- Together with the Biostatistician and investigators, write and prepare research and data reports.
- Supervise budget preparations and accounting together with budget analysts.
- Maintain a high level of communication between study staff, PI, sponsors and community stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications (mandatory):
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
- 5 years related experience.
- Demonstrated supervisory or lead responsibilities.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
JHU Equivalency Formula: 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Related Master's preferred
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- At least five years related experience in an academic research setting.
- Technical/scientific writing for medical publications required.
- Prior experience with research program management is preferred.
- Other qualifications include:
Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft required, working knowledge of SAS/STAT/R preferred.

This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
