Daley College is currently seeking a Full Time Faculty to teach Computer Information Systems. If you have passion for teaching and learning, and are committed to the mission of the community college, consider joining our team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in the classroom by developing and using effective teaching strategies that meet students’ diverse needs and engage the student in critical thinking and problem solving.

You must demonstrate excellence in teaching, commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process and the ability to inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed. You must model and teach the 'soft skills' that increase student's ability to earn certificates and degrees of economic value that will lead to career success.

  • Maintain office hours for advising, mentoring and coaching students.
  • Development and revision of courses and instructional materials as necessary.
  • Must be able to work in a multicultural environment that reflects our student body and embraces our vision and mission.
  • Post syllabi and grades on Blackboard


Qualifications -

  • CIS-Transfer Courses
  • M.S. in Computer Science or M.S. in Information Systems or M.S. in Information Technology [or an MBA or M.I.S. (Management of Information Systems) to teach only CIS 101, 120 & 299].


OR:

  • CIS-Career/Vocational/Industry
  • B.A. /B.S. in C.I.S. or Networking Systems or C.A.D. and current certifications in respective technologies.


Other skills:

  • Web Development:
  • CIW (Certified Internet Web Professional)
  • Technical skills: web and database development
  • System Administration: MCSA / MCSE, A+
  • Technical skills: server/client system administration and maintenance
  • Networking: CCNA, and CCNA Security
  • Microsoft Office (adjuncts) - MOS
