Job Description:
York College of Pennsylvania seeks applicants for the position of Head Men's and Women's Swimming Coach/Aquatics Director. Qualified individuals will be highly motivated and will possess the swimming knowledge, recruiting expertise, and coaching skills to lead the men's and women's NCAA Division III swimming programs and participating student-athletes to high levels of competitiveness, academic achievement, and citizenship. Duties include, but are not limited to, recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes through NCAA approved contact and academic support services; effective coaching, practice structure, and instruction; overseeing meet operations; scheduling; travel planning and supervision; managing assistant coaches; and budget control. As Aquatics Director, responsibilities include hiring, training, and scheduling student lifeguards; overseeing the natatorium and coordinating it's upkeep with campus maintenance resources; strategizing with Campus Recreation for non-varsity aquatics programming; and organizing, promoting, and managing learn-to-swim programs and camps. This is a full-time (12-month) administrative coaching position reporting to the Assistant Dean for Athletics & Recreation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred; three years of coaching experience in college swimming/intercollegiate athletics and administration.
