Private Music Instructor- Saxophone
Skidmore College invites applications for a part-time Lecturer in Jazz Saxophone, in the Department of Music for the 21-22 academic year. The successful candidate will teach saxophone and improvisation in both traditional and contemporary styles and direct the Skidmore Big Band. The candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working collaboratively in a liberal arts environment. They will teach weekly applied lessons to music majors, minors, and non-majors, and conduct weekly rehearsals with the Skidmore Big Band, as well as conduct the Big Band in concert each semester, in addition to jury, studio class, and ensemble responsibilities. Minimum qualification of a BA or equivalency. Preferred qualifications of Graduate degree in jazz performance.
