Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder and Leeds School of Business encourages applications for a Project Manager . This role serves as a central contact point for project work that flows through the office of Marketing and Communications. The Project Manager will: receive requests/jobs from partners and groups within the school, ensure our team has all of the vital information and assets for each project, utilize project management tools and skills to create timelines, assign individuals to the work, supervise and adjust resource requirements, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery of every project. In addition, the Project Manager will serve as "special ops" to execute marketing and communications projects across all channels - including analyzing research and data, updating the Leeds website, contributing to social media efforts, finding and working with a strong network of freelancers, mining public relations opportunities, contributing to annual planning across groups within the school, contributing to content needs, etc.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Project Management
  • Manage projects through project management tool to ensure appropriate timelines, staffing assignments, meetings, etc. are set up.
  • As projects are requested, create schedules that will ensure that the work will be completed within the clients’ due dates while allowing ample time to produce high-quality work.
  • Review daily workloads and adjust assignments as needed assuring that the appropriate team is assigned to each project and workloads are evenly maintained.
  • Ensure detailed and professional communication (in-person, phone, email) to all partners across all projects.
  • Meet with partners to learn more about new project details and give progress updates on existing projects, communicating any issues.
  • Work with freelancers and contractors and ensure they have the resources needed for their jobs.
  • Prepare production estimates.
  • Manage kick-off meetings, updates and meeting recaps.

Other Marketing Support
  • Serve as the intake person for needed website updates, and manage the successful implementation of each update (sometimes this might mean assigning it to a team member and assuring accurate implementation; sometimes it might mean completing the update yourself.)
  • Analyze existing research and data, pulling out key themes and impactful insights for the marketing team and other groups within the school.
  • Contribute to social media ideation, creation, execution, and analysis.
  • Seek, prioritize, and collaborate with the campus team to promote stories for earned media.
  • Contribute to annual planning efforts with groups across the school.
  • Draft, edit and/or proofread content across channels.


What We Can Offer

The salary range is $48,000-$63,000. Relocation is available within department guidelines.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of experience as a Marketing or Communications professional or Project Manager.
  • Experience working with diverse partner groups.


What You Will Need

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, coordinate and collaborate.
  • Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) expertise.
  • Excellent communication skills.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or related field.
  • Experience working in a university environment.
