Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

The office engages in a wide range of activities designed to publicize and describe the programs, activities, and other opportunities available at UNCW .

Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Transfer Admissions Coordinator serves as a key member of a successful transfer admissions team. This position:
Assists prospective online accelerated program students by providing information related to transfer admission policies and procedures, transferability of credit, and graduation requirements
Manages an assigned group of applicants to Undergraduate online accelerated programs
Meets and communicates effectively with students, other University departments, partner enrollment management companies, and other key stakeholders
Evaluates applications for admissions
Travels as needed to educate qualified students on transfer admissions policies and procedures
Participates in on and off-campus recruitment events and represents UNCW at events and in the community
Applies related policies and regulations of the UNC System, UNCW, and the Office of Admissions
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred education, professional skills and experience
- Strong public speaking, writing, and technical skills are
required
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing, conflicting demands while meeting
deadlines
- Ability to collaborate with others to achieve goals
- Sensitivity to the needs of adult learners and a commitment to
building a diverse student body
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Previous experience in a post-secondary admissions office is preferred
Required Certifications or licensure
NC Diver’s license is required.
