The Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University seeks an individual to teach EEE 420, Corporate Entrepreneurship during the fall 2021 semester.

Course description: Examination of the application of entrepreneurship concepts and behaviors within established organizations, assessment of factors contributing to a company’s entrepreneurial orientation, and identification of ways to foster higher levels of entrepreneurship within firms.

Qualifications

MBA or Master’s degree in a business discipline is preferred.

Job Specific Qualifications

Will also consider candidates with over 20 years of corporate experience and a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Course syllabus and content has been developed, but you should be prepared to customize it to your own teaching style.

Teach live classes every T/Th during the fall semester from 3:30-4:50pm.

Assessment of student work.

Maintain regularly scheduled office hours per week.

Consult with full-time faculty as needed.

Must have excellent communications skills.

Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments.

Meeting all designated class periods. if you are unable to meet your class due to illness or emergency, you should exercise your best effort to reschedule the class or to obtain a substitute.

You must also notify the department chair of your absence and of your plan to cover the class.

Submit completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.

Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.

Provide departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.

Build a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
