West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Radiology seek a Nightshift Radiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor).

The Radiology Department is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and PACS teleradiology system, including home reading stations. We promote, develop and integrate advances in imaging technology and imaging-based therapeutic procedures to complement the clinical, educational and research missions of WVU. We have a growing outreach imaging program covering several hospitals. Facility equipment is excellent with outstanding clinic infrastructure in place.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of diagnostic radiology. In addition to providing excellent imaging interpretation, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching residents and fellows. We are seeking a well-trained and motivated board certified/board eligible radiologist to provide overnight coverage, typically 9p-8a, seven days on and fourteen days off. Candidate will work covering STAT exams and non-subspecialty routine studies. The ideal candidate will be able to read a variety of imaging modalities including basic MR. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, it is expected that candidates sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program.

Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in radiology. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
