Job Description
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an Administrative Assistant in the Department of Aeronautical Science in the College of Aviation (COA) at the Daytona Beach campus. The Administrative Assistant will provide support for the Aeronautical Science Department Chair and department faculty and staff in three primary areas: department budget management and purchases, department office management, and department chair support. This position involves helping with budget management, purchasing and reconciling outstanding expenditures and maintaining monthly budget status reports as requested by the Chair. The Administrative Assistant will coordinate budget meetings with the COA Business Manager, and assist faculty with travel, RIA accounts, and purchases. This position will maintain up-to-date department files on faculty and staff, faculty pay vouchers, adjunct and summer contracts, supervise undergraduate and graduate student assistants, and coordinate with the COA Dean's office.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.
- Prior administrative support experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills, with ability to work with multiple priorities at the same time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post high school education and/or certification and two years or more of office experience is highly desired.
- Experience with Workday.
