Job Description:
University of Florida Historic Preservation Program is housed within the College of Design, Construction and Planning and collaborates with units within the College and across campus. The Historic Preservation Program is comprised of a Master of Historic Preservation, PhD, and certificate program and operates two-placed programs: Preservation Institute Nantucket and Preservation St. Augustine Institute. Grants and sponsored projects go through the Center for World Heritage Research and Stewardship, Envision Heritage initiative, and Preservation Institute’s Nantucket and St. Augustine.
The duties of the Research Administration I:
Pre-Award
Develop grant and sponsored project proposals and applications. Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and funding opportunities. Serve as liaison between HP program and sponsors.
Post-Award
Prepare progress and final reports. Assemble and coordinate research team and team meetings. Coordinate grant and sponsored project activities including travel. Comply with sponsor policies, reporting, and other requirements. Coordinate special studies and other learning activities associated with grant and sponsored projects. Track and prepare annual reports on grants and sponsored project activities.
Expected Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Historic Preservation or an appropriate area, plus two years of relevant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of grant and sponsors project research development, management, and reporting
- Historic preservation or related work experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (strongly preferred) and Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro
