Assistant Director for Programs
Additional Information
The Assistant Director for Programs is a full time professional position dedicated to student engagement for the Office of Student Center Programs. This position will facilitate student development by working with an executive board and program committees; coordinate campus wide student programs; and manage administrative functions of the Late Nite @ Ball State Program. The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday.

Position Function
Provide leadership to the development and maintenance of a strong and effective Late Nite program; work with student volunteers, Student Center staff and other appropriate university departments; contribute to the educational aspects of the L.A. Pittenger Student Center; provide the campus community with a variety of social, educational, and entertainment events. The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday.
Minimum Education
Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum Experience
At least one year of experience.
Minimum Other
Attendance at evening and weekend events as needed.
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Master’s degree.
Preferred Experience
At least one year of experience in union programming, student activities, housing and residence life,or recreation services programming.
Preferred Other
Familiarity with computer web page design; demonstrated commitment to student development theory and practice, and a firm belief in the role of the college union in higher education; effective oral and written communication skills.
