For the clinical research study assigned, the research assistant will be responsible for coordinating the clinical research study in a compliant and efficient manner. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the research assistant will ensure all federal, state, university, and protocol requirements are followed, institutional research objectives are met, and that ethical obligations are kept. Key responsibilities include:
• manage IRB approvals / amendments
• screen, consent, and enroll all participants
• manage all data collection through the intervention timeline, including questionnaires and exit interviews.
• Attend weekly lab meetings
• Attend biweekly manuscript development meetings
• Data entry

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or equivalent related experience
• Familiarity with the research process and principles of research design
• Experience working with research participants and/or patients impacted by cognitive decline
• Experience recruiting, screening, enrolling, and retaining research participants
• Must possess strong critical thinking skills, as well as complex problem-solving skills, and outstanding attention to detail
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate ability to establish rapport with participants
• Experience working collaboratively in a diverse team setting
• Experience working with IRB and human subjects documentation preferred
• Intermediate computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Previous experience with Redcap and SPSS strongly preferred
• Research experience in the field of neuro-oncology, preferred
• Experience with conducting one-on-one interviews with research subjects preferred
