Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities

VCU Human Resources is searching for a collaborative individual to join our team as the Welcome Center First Impressions Coordinator ( FDFIC ). Welcome Center First Impressions Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for faculty, staff, students and guests contacting VCU’s HR Department. The WCFIC will play a critical role in ensuring that all visitors are helped promptly and professionally and provide overall support to VCU HR. Specific duties include:

•Professionally representing VCU HR by greeting visitors in the HR Welcome Center and responding to phone calls
•Responding to general HR inquiries regarding employment, benefits, payroll, leave, etc. and routing more complex inquiries to appropriate parties
•Monitoring and responding to first-tier HR inquiries through the askhr@vcu.edu and vcujobs@vcu.edu email accounts
•Serving as building manager
•Providing employment verifications
•Engaging in special projects to support VCU HR
•Completing other duties as assigned

Preferred Hiring Standards

•Experience in Human Resources strongly preferred
•Experience handling of sensitive and confidential information
•Experience with HRIS or other information systems
•Familiarity with the higher education environment
