Position Summary

The Career Resource Center ( CRC ) of the University at Buffalo School of Management seeks a student-focused, goal-oriented Assistant Director to provide career advising services for our diverse population of MBA and MS students.

As Assistant Director, you will:

• Deliver individualized career coaching, as well as design and facilitate engaging educational programs.
• Specialize in advisement of graduate-level finance students.
• Teach life-long career management skills and assist in their search for internship and career opportunities.
•Develop and deliver programs and events that reflect the unique educational, networking and recruitment interests and needs of our students, many of whom are international.
• In coordination with the Employer Relations Manager, the successful candidate will collaborate with employer partners, actively engaging them in career programs and developing recruiting strategies to meet their talent needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience or master’s degree.
• A genuine desire to work with graduate level business students.
• Exceptional advising skills relevant to resume writing, interviewing and job search skills.
• Demonstrated project management abilities, multitasking, organization, and ability to adapt and pivot.
• Superior interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and excellence in oral and written communication.
• Ability to teach/present effectively, including to large groups.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint a must, with ability to learn new systems and software.
• Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree.
• Relevant experience in a business-related role or recruiting for business-related roles.
• Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including international backgrounds.
• Strong understanding of graduate-level business careers and experience with recruitment/employment process.
