Position Summary
A Senior Research Support Specialist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Animesh Sinha, Professor, Department of Dermatology , State University of New York, University at Buffalo.
Our research is focused on systems biology approaches to the study of autoimmune skin diseases. We aim to explore disease mechanisms and define biomarkers of disease. The associate will lead and work collaboratively on laboratory-based and translational research projects, particularly studies performed in conjunction with clinical trials for new drug targets in autoimmune disease. Specific responsibilities will include execution and quantitative analysis of genetic, genomic and proteomic data as well as molecular and cellular validation studies. you will develop, implement, monitor, coordinate and manage activities to maintain effective operation of a program that requires the theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge. Requires a high level of discretion, judgment, collaboration and initiative to accomplish goals. May include supervisory duties.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science degree or higher. Requires advanced knowledge of scientific, medical or other disciplinary terminology and associated mathematical competence usually demonstrated by a bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in applicable discipline. Incumbents typically have directly related experience in research techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have experience in immunology, cellular and molecular biology, genomics, and/or bioinformatics. Advanced degree and/or knowledge of and the ability to apply established methods and procedures in observation, measurement and computation preferred.
We are seeking a motivated individual with excellent work ethic and strong oral communication and writing skills. The applicant is expected to work independently, as well as in collaboration with other group members.
